License Plate – Tennessee Residents Only – Eagle Specialty Plate
In 2003, the non-profit American Eagle Foundation (AEF), headquartered at Dollywood, announced the approval of Tennessee State legislation (Bill No. 1303) for the development of a vehicle license plate honoring the Bald Eagle, our nation’s Freedom symbol.
The special plate features the image of Challenger and fifty percent of the proceeds from each eagle license plate sale benefit the AEF!
County clerks charge an additional $1 fee for the issuance of a specialty plate. This makes the fee $36 for specialty plates and $71 for personalized specialty plates, plus the standard state registration fee and any wheel taxes imposed by local governments.
The American Eagle Foundation (AEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Contributions to the American Eagle Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
The AEF's tax identification number is 58-1652023.
