The American Eagle Foundation is pleased to announce the winning names for the NEFL eaglets! Peace & Hope received 1,178 votes—31% of the total votes cast. In second place were Leah & Luke with 23%, followed by Hope & Destiny, Hero & Luna, and America & Patriot.
We congratulate our two winners who submitted these names:
Ginger Ellers – whose comment was: “Our world could use more of both peace and hope and the eagles bring both to my life.”
Cheryl Birch – who gave as her reason: “My wish for our country and the eaglets as they embark on the beginning of their life adventure.”
Nearly 300 members submitted names for the latest offspring of Romeo & Juliet, and a committee narrowed the list to 5 pair. The poll was open to all our viewers to select from this final list, and a total of 3,819 people participated in choosing names for NE16 and NE17. We are confident that everyone will love the names that were chosen, and will continue to watch all the special moments in the nest as Peace and Hope grow strong and free.
