September 10, 2017 – NRG Stadium

On September 10, Bald Eagle Challenger once again flew flawlessly in the NRG Stadium in Houston, TX during pre-game festivities as our National Anthem was played. It is always so inspirational to see him soaring above our flag! This Week-One game saw the Jaguars defeat the Texans 29-7.

September 11, 2017 – Mile High Stadium

The very next day, on September 11, Challenger flew at the Mile High Stadium at Denver as part of the 9/11 ceremony.  Always majestic; always breathtaking—Challenger is our nation’s Living Symbol of Freedom.

The game was a thriller, with the Chargers scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to fall short by a fingertip! The Broncos won the contest 24-21!

September 17, 2017 – On to Baltimore!

On September 17, the home team Ravens forced 5 turnovers in a 24-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Football was awesome, but who can win greater crowd appreciation than Challenger!!! The crowd roared its approval once again as America’s Favorite Eagle took flight, soaring beautifully over the crowd at the M&T Bank Stadium.

October 5, 2017 – Challenger Soars at Houston Astros American League Division Series

The Boston Red Sox, American League East champions, met the Houston Astros, West Division winners, in Game 1 of the American League Division Series at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. Astros won 8-2.  One of the stars of the event was, of course, Bald Eagle Challenger, making yet another memorable flight over the stadium, to the delight and awe of the thousands of fans.

October 16, 2017 – Challenger Makes Stunning Flight at Nissan Stadium

Titans vs. Colts! A perfect fall evening with a stadium full of cheering fans as Challenger once again inspired America with a magnificent flight.  Titans and Colts played a tight game throughout the night, but the Titans put the game away in the 4th quarter, to the delight of the hometown crowd.

October 23 — Challenger Soars at Eagles vs. Redskins on Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia

The Eagles continued to roll with their impressive 2017 football season, which, after this game, stands at 6-1.  Final score Eagles 34, Washington 24.

A true star of the evening was Bald Eagle Challenger who thrilled the crowd as he soared overhead during a trumpet rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, beautifully performed by Dr Jesse McGuire from Arizona.

November 6, 2017 — Challenger Thrills Crowd at Lambeau Field

Playing at home at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, the Packers lost their 3rd straight game without their starting quarterback, Aaron Rogers, who was out with a broken collarbone. Final score was Green Bay 16, Detroit Lions 30.

HOWEVER, Challenger, America’s Living Symbol of Freedom, raised everyone’s spirits during the National Anthem, with the crowd chanting U.S.A…. USA…. in support of our great country!

November 9, 2017 – Challenger Soars at the University of Phoenix Stadium

Challenger and AEF team were off to Phoenix to perform at the NFL game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks.  As Kristin Chenoweth sang the last words of the Star Spangled Banner, AEF team member Spencer Williams released Challenger from atop the stadium. As always, Challenger performed brilliantly, landing on Al Cecere’s gloved hand as the Anthem concluded. Final score: Seahawks 22 – Cardinals 16.

November 12, 2017 – Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis

A gigantic field flag was the backdrop as Challenger flew from the top of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis before the Colts & Steelers took to the field for their NFL game. A military presence emphasized the Salute to Service theme. Staff Sergeant Ron Duncan’s trumpet rendition of The National Anthem was performed to perfection, and as Challenger flew from the arm of Spencer Williams high above the crowd, spirits soared with a huge ovation.

November 23, 2017 – Ford Field in Detroit, MI

The AEF Team and Bald Eagle Challenger traveled to Detroit, MI for a Thanksgiving NFL football game between the Lions & the Vikings. The Vikings got some revenge for their earlier loss to the Lions with a 30-23 win, but Challenger put a smile on everyone’s face as he soared over the fans at Ford Field, landing on Laura Sterben’s glove as the final notes of the Star-Spangled Banner were performed by Mike Phillips on sax.

November 27, 2017 – M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD

Before a “Salute to Service” Monday Night Football game between the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Houston Texans, Challenger soared majestically over a cheering crowd in Baltimore while the US Army Herald Trumpets – Presidential Ceremonial Honor Guard – Washington, DC performed the National Anthem. After Challenger landed on Laura Sterben’s glove, she lifted him high and received the crowd’s enthusiastic applause.  At the end of the game, the victory was claimed by the Ravens, 23-16.
