Facilities and Maintenance

Full-time, Year-round Position

Required Prerequisites: Must have flexible days / hours. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass both a background check and drug screen.

Desired Job Prerequisites: We are looking for someone with a high school degree, master carpentry certificate or 2+ years of equivalent experience, licensed, bonded contractor experience preferred but not required, and moderate to high knowledge of electrical, plumbing, landscaping, etc.

Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of expense and inventory control programs for Facilities Maintenance
  • Assist in the planning and completion of the annual budget for Facilities Maintenance.
  • Ensure a positive working relationship with other American Eagle Foundation support teams
  • Balance weekly work hours as needed and respond to emergency American Eagle facilities maintenance needs.
  • Spends 60 – 70% of time on facilities and maintenance in-field projects and 30 – 40% of time attending meetings, managing facilities and maintenance budget and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate maintenance for all American Eagle Foundation buildings, fences, signage, walkways/hardscapes, and related utility infrastructure outside of day-to-day operating needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining all company vehicles – including but not limited to: repairs, maintenance and scheduling.
  • Ensure all work conforms to all applicable rules, regulations and codes.
  • Ensure Facilities Purchase Order System is effective by tracking repair expenses, closing out work orders timely and increasing the overall effectiveness of the work order system.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with the Dollywood Company Safety Program and procedures. Ensure timey communication of all Facilities Maintenance objectives/needs to all American Eagle Staff
  • Demonstrate American Eagle Foundation values and leadership style through verbal and written communications, through personal actions showing that I am a positive team member who cares for and supports all American Eagle Foundation animals and people
  • Trained and knowledgeable around all Birds of Prey
  • Recognize and helps to resolve conflicts a timely manner.
  • Encourages and promotes teamwork.
  • Attend weekly leadership meetings and communicate all Facilities Maintenance updates effectively and timely
  • Monitor facilities and maintenance operations and resolve problems as person-in-charge of Facilities Maintenance.
  • Respected, professional representative for the American Eagle Foundation on approved committees and/or boards.
  • Models American Eagle Foundation standards and code of conduct while communicating with leadership, peers, vendors, etc.

Classroom Facilitator

Required Prerequisites: Must have flexible days / hours. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass both a background check and drug screen.

Desired Job Prerequisites: We are looking for someone with a high school degree; bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have a high level of personal organization; able to handle a fast-paced setting, and a passion for working with people of all ages and abilities.

Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a positive working relationship with other American Eagle Foundation support teams
  • Spends 50 – 60% of time on Facilitation, 40 – 50% of time attending meetings, managing classroom assets and other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining, inventory and organization of all classroom assets such as, but not limited to – tables, chairs, biofacts, projectors, screens, white boards, info packets, etc.
  • Ensure Classroom booking system is implemented and organized by creation of SOPs to book rooms
  • Communicate effectively with teachers from various school districts
  • Ensure timely communication of all Facilitator objectives/needs to leadership
  • Demonstrate American Eagle Foundation values and leadership style through verbal and written communications, through personal actions showing that I am a positive team member who cares for and supports all American Eagle Foundation animals and people
  • Trained and knowledgeable around all Birds of Prey
  • Recognize and helps to resolve conflicts a timely manner.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Respected, professional representative for the American Eagle Foundation on approved committees and/or boards
